On January 28th, Eye Care Equality had the privilege of conducting an eye screening camp for Delhi Traffic Police personnel, organized in collaboration with the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), AcSIR, and the Delhi Traffic Police.
This initiative was a significant step toward ensuring the well-being of the officers who dedicate their lives to maintaining road safety. The camp was marked by a sense of community and care, contributing to improved vision and better health outcomes.
We screened 46 officers and found that 19 required reading glasses, which were provided free of cost. Additionally, 21 eye drops were distributed to those experiencing discomfort. During the screenings, we also identified potential cases of one cataract, one chalazion, and one pterygium, which were referred for further examination.
We are immensely grateful to Farhat Azad Ma’am for making this opportunity possible. Eye Care Equality remains committed to making a positive difference, one camp at a time.
